Sharing the Gospel

Southern Region Facilitator Bill Seaman overhears a conversation.

When I arrived in Chester Saturday evening, I stopped for a bite at a hole-in-the wall "Crab Shack" in Stevensville, neighboring Chester. I was sitting at one of three tables when another customer entered. He was a crusty old guy and began talking about how we all have a purpose in this life, but mixed with some strange ideas about aliens. The lady behind the counter agreed that we have a purpose in this life, but that it is to serve God. She then gave a straight forward witness about Jesus and how he died to save us from our sins. This went on the whole time I was enjoying my $10.00 dinner. When I got ready to go I asked her if I could talk about her the next day. She asked me if I were a pastor. I affirmed that and she became flustered, saying she hoped she had not messed up and that she had been praying the whole time. I assured her that she had given a great witness. I also asked her if she knew of Galilee Lutheran and she was very positive that she knew of that church. She really did give a great witness to Jesus and her faith. I wish we were all as uninhibited in our sharing the Gospel.
